Great value high quality crank extractor, perfect for removing square taper chainsets – its easy to know which type you have once you remove the bolt holding the chainset on to the bottom bracket – if the bolt is out and you see a square, this tool is perfect for the job.;Threaded part of the tool is hardened steel for longevity For the novice we recommend;Remove chainset bolt or allen bolt / Unscrew the silver part of the tool so it is separate from the black part / Screw in fully the black part of the tool- ensure this goes in straight and is not cross threaded otherwise you will damage your cranks and make it almost impossible to remove them / Screw the silver part of the tool into the black tool -you will need a long arm spanner to make this easier and just tighten until the crank begins to be pulled off the bottom
